            OVERTURE

Here in this land of green and gold
Are two explorers, brave and bold.
They seek not glory, fortune, fame,
But their adventures are not tame.
These knights unarmored every day
Go gallantly into the fray.
They walk the byways which belong
To those who would do others wrong.
Through friendly days and hostile nights,
They strive to change the wrongs to rights.

These two who o'er the scene preside
Have, more than virtue on their side.
Their hearts are filled with confidence
As simple justice they dispense.
By friendship loving and profound,
E'er to each other they are bound,
And such a friendship must inspire
The hearts of those who would admire.

These are the stories, twice—told tales,
Of how, o'er sorrow, love prevails,
And in each tale's revisioned end,
Learn what it means to have a friend.
